Audubon Pennsylvania ornithologist Ron Rohrbaugh will talk about how birds serve as bioindicators to help guide global and regional conservation priorities, including adaptation to climate change, and how birds truly are “canaries in the coal mine” when it comes to protecting human health. In this context, he will describe how the needs of birds are guiding landscape-scale forest management practices in Pennsylvania.
