Join wildlife artist and outdoor writer Michael Kensinger for a slow hike meandering through a variety of bird habitats to record and observe birds and wildlife on the trails of the Blair County Game Fish & Forestry Association. We will begin our birding at the parking area, recording our data into eBird as we explore and see what makes this a great birding location. We will look for birds around the different habitats on the property which consists of mossy streamside forested trails, views across open country power lines and fields, as well as mixed hardwood forests. There is also a small, stocked trout pond which has attracted a variety of species of fish-eating birds. If you enjoy photography, feel free to bring a camera as we peruse the trails, which are stunning and peaceful, cloaked in moss along a native brook trout stream.
