State Game Lands 166, Gate 7
We’ll take an easy, out-and-back walk along a dirt road to explore State Game Land #166 in Catherine Township, Williamsburg, PA. This area includes Beaver Dam Wetlands Natural Heritage Area, a large wetland complex between the ridges of Canoe Mountain and Brush Mountain that forms the headwaters of Canoe Creek. We’ll meet at Gate 7. The road is in good shape but we will carpool further into the game land. Bring water and a snack. Since we will be walking in a game land, don’t forget to wear blaze orange. Be sure to check out State Game Land 166 on Facebook for a preview of this beautiful area.
