We will walk the 1-mile trail encompassing the wetland. This location is an eBird hotspot with 124 species observed. Angie has been working to restore the biodiversity of this area for the past five years by removing invasive plants and replacing them with native species. She is focused on providing birds with natural food sources, such as berries and insects, with over 1,000 new trees and shrubs planted. Angie will explain the restoration process and the results of her master’s research, which focused on the community effects of invasive plants on energy transfer through trophic levels.
