Easy walking
We will meet at 1 PM at Centre Furnace Mansion parking lot to tour the home and grounds of Ironmaster Moses Thompson. Mr. Thompson donated the land for the Farmer’s High School, which became Penn State University. After the tour at Centre Furnace, we will walk through Millbrook Marsh. It’s a gem of nature surprisingly close to the ‘urban’ area of State College. Discover the boardwalk, wildlife blinds, magnificent oaks, and maybe a deer or two. We may debrief at The Happy Valley Brewing Company for dinner.
