Join us for an exciting evening as we travel far afield with Susan Braun to relive her birding trip to Gambia. Susan is also teaming up with Catie Farr to create some delicious Gambian food, so come early (6:30) to enjoy dinner.
The Gambia is one of the smallest countries in Africa but it is a bird watcher’s paradise. It has a variety of habitats: estuaries, mangrove swamps, riverine forests, marshland, and the edge of the West African savannah forest. With over 560 bird species of birds, abundant nature reserves and many eco-lodges, it has many birding and nature watching opportunities. Susan Braun will describe her experience when she visited this tiny country three and a half years ago.
